Parasol Foundation  is an educational institution that works and operates for seniors, belongs to the non-formal learning system in Poland.  Parasol Foundation’s main aim is to provide seniors with a variety of educational challenges and opportunities, to  take part in educational projects to find possibilities of personal development for seniors.  Our main activity is language teaching, we run language courses (English, German) for different groups of learners. Parasol organizes many activities for seniors from language and ICT courses to book reading workshops, film festivals, walking tours, discussion meetings in order to involve as many seniors as possible and help them in beeing active.


E-SENIORS is a non-profit organization, founded in 2005 with the aim at fighting e-exclusion by providing access to and training in ICT to seniors and/or disabled people. Its main objectives are:

– Shrinking, and where possible, bridging the digital gap between generations,

– Caring for elders by fighting seniors’ isolation,

– Opening new horizons for efficient use of free time.


Pathways is a Community Interest Company composed of a network of supporters and experts who draw together to develop innovative, creative experiential learning opportunities. It primarily works to provide education and training based on the concept of 'journey’ with learner centred active, experiential and problem based approaches. Pathways has developed innovative provision for social and cultural value in the UK & through engaging in international exchanges with adult groups across Europe which develop reflection, understanding & deep learning.


The Technological High-School for Mechatronics and Automation Iasi (LTMA) is a 'new’ institution created recently, in 2013, by reorganizing 3 former technical schools into a single one, more powerful and sustainable (The Tehnical School Nicolina, The Technical School St. Procopiu, The Technical School D. Mangeron). It is the first and the largest technological high-school in the county, offering technical education for  jobs such as as: technician in mechatronics and technician in automation.  Together with these, the school offers professional education in domains such as mechanics, electrics and electronics. Education is offered in different forms for a wide range of beneficiaries: high-school, afternoon and evening classes (for adults completing their studies), apprentice education, sports education (rugby) and post high-school courses. By this wide range, the LTMA is one of the few schools in the area that can cover the entire education for the post -compulsory (secondary) level.


The cooperative “Lentamente” was created in 2012 with the aim of establishing a social farm at Circello, nearby Benevento (Italy), on a public land. The team is composed by 8 people – mainly young emigrants from Southern Italy. The area of activity involves three main areas:

1) Farming: to  promote beekeeping and cultivate ancient grains, two-row barley, vegetables, medicinal herbs and hemp according to biodynamical principles;

2) Social inclusion: to establish a social farm to involve disadvantaged people, both from our area and other places;

3) Education: to  develop educational curricula which differ from the usual ones, and include nature trails, recognition and valorisation of wild herbs, green housing.
